In cervical spondylosis, the mechanism of pain is not well understood. I propose the know-how to understand how and when patients experience acute pain during this "chronic disease", where degeneration involve the disc, the vertebral architectonics and the facet joint. We can name this rarely captured process on T1-sequence MRI; the "Acute-on-top-of-chronic Cervical Spondylosis Bout".
